This is about a "spirit" who is put in a body that they other person is still in. The person leads the spirit to the last surviving normal people. The spirit, or alien, then becomes attached to the people there. She helps the people to learn about the other spirits, the Souls, and she helps them to live on.In my opinion this book is thrilling yet unusual in many different ways. I have to applaud Stephanie Meyer for this awesome book. It is filled with twists and turns that most people never see coming. The very end will surprise you! It is sort of hard to read due to the two voices (of the spirit and the body), but I think it is worth any confusion.
